Tell us about your business. What are your core values?

• Burlington Telecom is locally operated fiber internet provider that does things differently. Our objective is to deliver state-of-the-art fiber Internet access, telephone and B2B services to all premises passed and become our customer’s “trusted technology partner”. Our modern network delivers symmetrical, multi-Gigabit per second data transfer rates (a.k.a., speed) to our customers. Burlington Telecom continues to successfully expand its 100% fiber-to-the-premises network outside of Burlington and today serves several adjacent communities with 25,000+ passings. Our core values include having a customer centric approach, to see things from their eyes. To work with our neighborhood to enhance community services and programs. To offer our best value always, free of gimmicks and misleading promotions. To deliver state of the art technology to all members of our community. To be innovative leaders in next generation technologies.

 

Why is being connected to the community important to your business?

• We are committed to supporting local organizations and events, and we recognize that their success is tied to the success of the community as a whole. By being an active and engaged member of the community, we are able to make a positive impact and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the area. Our community is what makes Vermont great, it is not only our duty to give back, but an honor to as well. Supporting our community can only make it stronger and one of the few ways we can show how much we care. While we are located in Burlington, our care extends beyond the city as our fiber footprint expands into Winooski, South Burlington, Colchester, Essex Junction, Essex Town and more on the horizon. At BT, one of our core values is “to define what a local service provider should be.” One of the best ways to do that is by being a good corporate citizen. We work to enhance community services and programs by being an innovative leader in delivering state of the art, next-generation technologies.

 

Why is your United Way partnership important to you?

• Our company’s strength mirrors the strength of our community. We support our local communities as a good corporate citizen through meaningful sponsorship support and involvement. Burlington Telecom’s partnership with United Way is an important one for several reasons. Firstly, this partnership enables us to give back to our local community by supporting United Way’s programs and initiatives that address critical social issues such as poverty, education, and health. By working together with United Way, we can help to create a positive impact on the lives of those in our community who are most in need. Additionally, this partnership is important because it allows us to join forces with other local businesses and organizations that share our commitment to making a difference in our community. By participating in United Way’s Business 365 program, we help to create a larger and more meaningful impact on the community around us.
