365 Small Business Leader Spotlight: Runway Auto

Tell us about your business. What are your core values?

  • Runway Auto is a full-service auto body and collision center serving the community in and around South Burlington, VT. We’re here to help you navigate the post-accident process with honesty, efficiency, and superior quality workmanship backed with a lifetime warranty. Our goal is to make sure that after a stressful accident, you have a smooth experience getting back on the road. Our core values would be honesty, transparency, and value. We want our customers to be comfortable with the repairs and understand what was necessary and why. Much of the communication before, during and after the repair consists of explaining the different steps and intricacies of the repair of their vehicle.

Why is being connected to the community important to your business?

  • Our community is who we serve, and we live in Chittenden County, so our customers are our neighbors. If our community is doing well, we as a business, do well. Runway Auto had the opportunity to donate four vehicles to individuals in need, through non-profits (ANEW Place, Lund, Vermont Works for Women, and the Josh Pallotta Fund) and those are the best days. Our success has allowed us to pay it forward to individuals in need in our community.

Why is your United Way partnership important to you?

  •  No one business or person can be on top of so many needs in a community like United Way. Being able to support United Way, which in turn supports so many areas of need in our community is important because these are our neighbors. None of us can do it alone and I know that every dollar given to the United Way will go so much further and directly where it is needed most. I appreciate the way they have the pulse of our community and an understanding of what is needed, when and where. While I cannot do what they do, I appreciate it and will always support all United Way does for Chittenden County.
