Special Initiatives

Community is built on partnerships.

As a trusted, neutral facilitator, United Way is often called upon to convene and facilitate community conversations with diverse stakeholders to find solutions to urgent and complex problems. This often results in action groups, new initiatives and long-term systems change efforts. We understand that community is built on partnerships and long-term change requires all of us working together. Our current special initiatives include:

Northwest and Central Vermont Prevention Network

Launched in December 2021 as part of a 5-year strategic plan, the Northwest and Central Vermont Prevention Network is unifying the region around a holistic and comprehensive approach to preventing substance misuse and promoting wellbeing within our community.
