Our 2019 investment

This year, we're investing $4,632,842 to help achieve the quality of life we expect for our community.

We respond to what is needed and what will work best.

Our community investments align with 5 Key Strategies defined by our community and collectively serve every town in Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties.

HOW WE DECIDE

Volunteers serving on our Community Investment Committee oversee and direct all community investments. Program funding recommendations are provided by our Program Funding Team, a citizen committee of volunteers who review funding applications and monitor program performance. All investments, terms and conditions are approved by our Board of Directors.

In addition to our community investments, United Way of Northwest Vermont processed $425,000 in Facilitated Philanthropy (gifts from our 2018-19 Community Campaign that were designated from donors to nonprofits and bypass our volunteer oversight and investment process).
